Stardate 02072007, Captains log: For a desert that's out of this world its time you enjoyed your ice cream the way astronauts do. These packs of ice cream and other freeze-dried food items have been onboard space missions since the early Mercury missions. They continue to be used on NASA missions today.
The Neapolitan ice cream (chocolate, vanilla and strawberry) is freeze dried removing
water by lowering the air pressure to a point where ice shifts from a solid to a gas. The ice cream is placed in a vacuum chamber and frozen until the water crystaliszes. The air pressure is lowered, creating a vacuum, forcing air out of the chamber; next heat is applied, vaporising the ice; finally a freezing coil traps the vaporised water. This process continues for hours giving you the perfect space food!

Spaghetti Fork
| |
There are two unwritten laws in life that most of us have figured out for ourselves. Number 1 – never order spaghetti when out on a date as you will come across as someone who has never learnt the ability to eat properly. Plus, all your attention shifts from your date to simply keep the spaghetti on your fork for long enough to bring it up to your mouth! Number 2 – never wear anything white, especially when any Bolognese sauce is involved!
