Pulp fiction was directed by Quentin Tarantino in 1994 and is a crime story with a fragmented story line. It boasts a star studded cast of John Travolta, Samuel Jackson, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Eric Stoltz, and Christopher Walken.

Its title refers to the inexpensive fiction magazines from the 1920’s to the 1950’s and since then is also a term for mass published paperbacks.

Pulp fiction has been called one of the most significant films of it’s era and has been likened the classics such as Physo and A Clockwork Orange.

One of the most recognised quotes from the film comes from Samuel Jackson when he says, “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the Valley of Darkness; for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children. And, I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers! And, you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!”
