Darth Vader is the most recognisable bad guy in movie history. A once Jedi apprentice, Vader started off as Anakin Skywalker. He was believed to be the chosen one who would bring order to the galaxy but was seduced by the dark side of the force.
It was left to the Jedi knight Obi-Wan Kenobi to stop Anakin which led to a fierce battle on the planet of Mustafar. Anakin was badly wounded loosing his legs and his left arm. He caught fire and was left to die but was rescued by Darth Sidious, who rebuilt Anakin and gave him his new identity of Darth Vader.
