Any frequent RED5 shopper will have noticed we quite like our indoor flying machines. The Stingray breaks away from the typical plane or helicopter design and instead styles itself on arguably the coolest looking fish around! This means that it is basically a flying wing with a central propeller that gives it flying characteristics of both a plane and helicopter.
The flying features are similar to most flying indoor RC machines which means a 20-25 minute charge gives you 5-10 flying time (charge directly from the remote). The Stingray also comes with a free IR booster, which in the past had to be purchased separately. This means the Stingray can be controlled over greater distances with an increased infra-red range. It is made from EPP (expanded polypropylene) which is a durable yet lightweight material and comes in 3 frequencies which means you can have 3 flying at the same time.
As you’ll see from our video the Stingray glides through the air with its nose up, which means that it is extremely stable in flight. Its unique design also allows it to spiral in the air which is one of the most impressive stunts we’ve seen.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's…oh wait, yes it is a bird. Not just any bird though, this is the new amazing i-Bird from Silverlit. Not content with making the best indoor helicopters on the market they have now made a gadget that is set to give people a choice dilemma!
Normally as things improve they tend to get smaller. In most cases this for the best and is genuinely well received. Sometimes though, when you spend your hard earned cash, you expect something that can’t fit in the palm of your hand. The last thing you want is to look at something and think “is that it?”. The Bladez 3D certainly can’t be accused of not giving you value for money!
The stealth boat is one of the quickest remote controlled speed boats we’ve ever seen. It really is ridiculously fast and we know that you’ll be grinning from ear to ear as soon as you start it up. You’d think that this kind of speed would require a very big turning circle but that is where you’d be wrong! The stealth boat twists and turns with great control and accelerates up to its top speed in seconds (and we’ve got a video to prove it).
