My Pet Firefly

As we get older the world loses some of its sparkle and mystery. Wouldn’t it be great if we could look at the world and see the magic we once did when we were kids? Well that’s exactly the feeling we got at RED5 when we first saw My Pet Firefly.

My Pet Firefly appears to be a realistically detailed firefly trapped within a glass jar. Before you start ringing the RSCPA, please don’t, because despite its unbelievably realistic movement, it’s all smoke and mirrors (well LEDsand wires actually). The way it flutters around the jar needs to be seen to be believed. Its fluttery fantastic!

The artificial firefly is powered by two AA batteries hidden within the jar lid. When switched on it can be activated by simply tapping the jar and its even sound activated. It’s the perfect desk buddy to take you away from the monotony of work, and the ideal pet for the little ones, no sad talks about going to firefly heaven (just remember to change the batteries).
